Great local mechanic. I have an older vehicle for my daughter, needs work for lots of issues due to its age. Nice to talk through and prioritize what needs to be done. Very happy with the service.

I recently had a new set of tires on my Tesla Model 3 and it was clear that a wheel alignment was required. I made the booking with A1 the next day. Brought the car in first thing the next morning and was introduced to Brady and Sam (the owner). The job took longer than expected due to an issue with the factory published specifications. Several iterations and multiple test drives and the car was ready. What I appreciated was Sam getting personally involved and ensuring the job was perfect before handing back the car. A great team and very highly recommended.

Highly recommend. They do great work. Honest and professional. Brady the manager helped us with a serious issue regarding the tires on my son’s car. He was able to finish the job in one day and the cost of the labor and materials was fair and reasonable. We plan to take all our cars here for any repairs going forward.

I am beyond disappointed with the service I received here. I brought my car in for a standard oil change, and the experience turned into a nightmare exactly one week later. While driving on the highway, the oil pressure warning light suddenly illuminated. I immediately pulled off at the next exit and shut down the engine. To my horror, there was a massive puddle of oil forming under the car. I immediately started fearing the worst—a cracked engine block, a punctured oil pan, or a catastrophic internal failure. However, when I got underneath the vehicle to inspect the damage, I discovered the actual cause: the oil drain plug was completely missing. It had clearly not been tightened properly during the service and eventually vibrated out while I was driving at highway speeds. I have 20 years of driving experience and perform my own DIY maintenance, and I have never, in two decades, encountered such gross negligence. Failing to properly torque a simple drain plug is a fundamental error that could have completely destroyed my engine. Fortunately, I shut the engine off in time, and after installing a new plug and refilling the oil myself, the car seems to be running fine so far. However, I am sharing this to warn others: if you value your vehicle’s engine, do not trust this shop with basic maintenance. They failed at the most elementary task, and the consequences could have been thousands of dollars in damages.

Please reach out to us at your earliest convenience, we'd love to check the engine internals to verify no damage was done. At the very least, we'd like to offer a full undercarriage cleaning and refund of the cost to change your Oil. My A/C on my 2018 Acura Rdx was blowing warm air. They diagnosed and fixed the problem right away. I couldn’t leave my car there all day and needed it back by 1 pm. They totally accommodated me and had it done by 12 o’clock. I felt they were very honest about the repair and the price was totally reasonable. I will definitely go back.

I had an amazing experience with A1 Complete Auto Care. I entrusted them to do a full inspection of my car before moving cross country. They were extremely responsive and easy to schedule. They recommended only the services/maintenance needed, nothing extra. The work was completed on-time, the pricing was half of what the dealer quoted for the same work, and my care is running great!

My 86-year old mother scraped the belly pan of her car and it was hanging down--someone passing by helped her with a temporary fix but she needed to get it secured for the long term. I had called the company yesterday, and they said she could come in today. A1 Complete Auto Care folks were kind enough to handle this in 15 minutes while she waited, and didn't even charge her! She was thrilled. I live across the country so am glad to find somewhere she can go back to when there is something more serious!

Everything on check list done! front brakes, new transmission gasket & fluid change, spark plugs & new gasket cover, new water pump & anti freeze, new brake fluid, new car battery, tire rotation, engine mount replacement, & other items that I put off. Should be good for next couple of years ? So far so good, all work seems to have been done well.

I’ve been bringing my cars to this shop for many years now whenever I needed a good mechanic at a reasonable price, but unfortunately it seems like since they changed the name of the business they also decided to raise their prices up to a level that doesn’t feel that reasonable anymore

I’ve trusted A1 with over 7 cars across 15+ years, both new and old. Reliable and straightforward auto shops are hard to find, but Brady and Sam make an excellent team. Brady is always easy to work with, and Sam communicates clearly and follows through on every detail. They’ve inspected several used cars for me with no surprises later, and their pricing has consistently been far better than dealerships like BMW, Lexus, and Subaru. They also do great tire service at fair prices and always stand behind their work. It’s rare to find a shop with this level of honesty, care, and customer service. Highly recommend A1 — you’ll be happy you brought your car to Brady and Sam.

I didn't avail any service but want to leave a review for the honesty. I initially called to compare a quote I received from another auto shop. The person on the phone looked up the issue but before even giving me a quote, he insisted that the issue i had would be covered under manufacture warranty and pushed me to talk to the dealer instead. I ended up taking my car to the dealer and it was indeed covered under warranty. He could have easily withheld this information. I would not have known any better and paid out of pocket. I will definitely be coming back to this place for any future service.

The lead tech/owner sam is amazing. One of, if not the most honest and empathetic technicians I have found in the bay area. And an expert when it comes to E chassis BMWs. Very glad I was recommended to him. His hourly charge is also less than many other shops in the area, but the quality of work exceeds anything I’ve seen before.

He still charged it to the max possible and had it driven and ran it in idle for a while. When I got there, the car started with no issue. Brady recommended I change the battery (still under warranty). Above all, he did not charge me anything. I couldn’t believe it! A top notch, honest place to go for car service.

Exceptional service at an affordable price. I have taken my car here for many years. This last time the wipers were not working. All it needed was a screw tightened. The technician took care of it right away at no charge. I definitely recommend taking your car here for any repairs.

Would give A1 Foreign Auto 10 stars if I could. I was led here by the exceptional Google reviews and agree with the folks that have said that coming here is like having a family member in the business. This business is honest, fast, thorough, and professional. Have had my Tesla model Y serviced here and got fair quotes, with fast turnaround times and my car ready when they said. When I came back with a tire issue after driving over a nail, they had all my info saved and had my car back to me in under a day with the tire (under warranty) fixed completely free—not even a service charge. Brady has taken care of me each time and I felt he was truly professional, courteous, and 110% knows his stuff inside and out. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate to come here. Thoroughly honest, fast, and completely professional. This business is a treasure for Mountain View.

I think the price is not reasonable here and this is what I experienced: They don't have clear price for each fixing item and they do "inspection" first and ask you to sign a paper that charges $200 for "inspection". At this point, they don't share the price of any potential issue you want to fix. After the "inspection" you have 2 choices: spending $200 for no service or spending whatever they ask for the fix. In my case, they charged $500 for changing ignition switch, which is higher than what the dealer asked. But I cannot go to the dealer at this moment because I have to pay this store $200 for nothing (or so called "inspection") if I switch to the dealer. Btw, this store charges $140 for oil change. I would recommend Valvoline in 0.5 miles for doing a fast full synthetic oil change service at a similar or less (with coupon) price. My point is I don't think this store is as good as what is showed in their reviews (I'm suspecting the source of those reviews now). Maybe this is how the auto repair industry works but hope my experience could help you take a second thought when choosing this store and avoid being ripped off.

Good Morning, I apologize if you had a less than favorable experience, but I can assure you our prices are lower than what a VW Dealer would have charged for the same repair. We used a factory VW Ignition Lock Housing (Not just the Ignition Switch, though a new Ignition Switch does come pre-installed in the new Ignition Lock Housing). I just got off the phone with a local VW Dealer and they quoted me $925 for the repair that we charged you $495 for. Of course, we do Diagnose all issues prior to repairs so we can verify what needs to be done to correctly fix your issue and we do not charge that Diagnosis fee if repairs are completed with us. Great service! I have been going to this shop for my regular auto maintenance for three years now. Brady was very honest about the dented oil pan replacement the time I needed a replacement. When the pan was replaced I realized my mileage went up. All other times the maintenance was just replacement of oil and small parts like o-rings and the total charge comes out to be $96.

Upon recommendation from a long time A1 customer friend of mine, when I took my 2001 Lexus ES300 to A1 for an overdue servicing, I found the proprietor mechanic and colleagues very knowledgeable and honest. I then recommended my other friend bring his similar Lexus to A1 and he had a similar positive experience.

I have 3 words to describe my experience. Honest. Timely. Experienced. The quote was accurate, and the estimated time to get it done was accurate. The service was excellent. I also felt that the price was reasonable. I felt like a person, not just a number. I would go there again.
